What porch keeps

porch also briefly counts sign-in tries from each internet address to stop password guessing. It doesn’t keep those addresses.

Who sees what

What porch doesn’t do

porch doesn’t show ads, doesn’t sell or share your information for advertising, and doesn’t use analytics or tracking scripts. It sets one cookie to keep you signed in, and stores small settings, like your theme, in your browser.

Other companies

porch shares information when the law requires it, or to protect someone from serious harm.

Your choices

Depending on where you live, you may have more rights over your data. To use them, use Report on the page or post in question.

Children

porch isn’t for children under 13. If porch learns an account belongs to a child under 13, it deletes the account.

Keeping it safe

porch only runs over HTTPS, stores passwords as slow one-way hashes, and keeps only a fingerprint of each sign-in token. No system is perfect; if porch ever has a breach that affects you, it will tell you.

Changes
