Only people you know

You can pay friends, and brands, teams and creators with the hologram on their badge. Only friends can ask you for money, so strangers and bots can’t.

Amounts stay between you

In a room, everyone sees that someone paid or asked. Only the two of you see how much. There are no public totals, and no feed of who paid whom.

Questions

Is this real money?

Not yet. Paying friends on porch is coming. When it opens, payments run through a licensed payments partner, and porch never holds your money.

Who can I pay?

Friends, and verified brands, teams and creators. Look for the hologram on their badge. You can’t send money to someone you aren’t connected to.

Who can ask me for money?

Only friends. Brands, strangers and bots can’t send you a request, so there’s nobody to spam you for money.

Who sees how much I sent?

Only you and the person you paid. In a room, everyone else sees that a payment or request happened, but not the amount.

How do splits work?

Pick several friends when you request money. Each one gets their own request for the same amount, and the card in the room fills in as people pay.

Can I take a payment back?

No. Like handing someone cash, a payment is done once it’s sent, so check the name and the amount first. If someone asks you for money you don’t owe, decline it.
